The story was nice, but I didn’t feel the chemistry as much. In this one, I didn’t get any background on the characters – in fact the blurb gave me more background than the book and so I just wasn’t as invested in them. She has interesting plots and writes well but due to the word count the story isn’t what it could be. Marcus, and I recognize its the word counts she is allowed, but I feel that really detracts from her writing. However, like before, I was left wanting. I liked the premise as unbelievable as it is. This was again an extremely short book – about 50 pages and yet again I have mixed feelings about this one – but for different reasons. When I picked it up, I didn’t realize that the h in this and the one in Masked Intentions were sisters. Marcus’s second book I have read – the other was Masked Intention. While working for him she finds her last round of IVF “took” and she is pregnant but that due to a mix up at the fertility clinic her baby is actually Owens. She gets a job with Owen and is very attracted to him.
